Mrs Rosaleen O'Rourke

Mrs. Rosaleen (Marshall) O'Rourke, age 76 of 53 Thayer Court, Portsmouth, RI died peacefully Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late James T. O'Rourke. Born in Hanford, CA and raised in Bristol, RI she was a daughter of the late Frank and Marie (Ferreira) Marshall. A resident of Portsmouth for 16 years, she was a former resident of Acton, MA for 22 years. A Registered Nurse, Rosaleen was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School, Bristol, Class of 1952 and a graduate of the Rhode Island Hospital School of Nursing in 1955. She is survived by six children; Shaun Duncanson and her husband Steve of Milford, NH, Timothy O'Rourke and his wife Aimee of Fairfax, VA, Michael O'Rourke and his wife Christina of North Brookfield, MA, Erin Sanford and her husband Michael of Chapel Hill, NC, Carrie Roccos and her husband Alexis of Westerville, OH and Sarah Chase and her husband Will of Melrose, MA, Nineteen grandchildren; Shannon and Evan Duncanson, Meghan, Corey, Caitlyn and Rachael O'Rourke, Maryann and Michael German, Christopher, Michael, Faith and Grace O'Rourke, Bradford Chisholm and Paola Andrade, Blake and Rachel Sanford, Nikolas and Katrina Roccos, Lindsey, Taliah and Daniel Chase, and a brother, Manuel Marshall and his wife, Margaret of Chelmsford, MA. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, CharlesMarshall. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, March 25, 2011 at 10:00 AM in St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI. Burial will follow in the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter, RI. Visiting hours will be Thursday, March 24, 2011 from 4:00-7:00 PMin the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, RI.
