Mrs. Patricia Ann Haning, a Bristol resident, passed away peacefully on Superbowl Sunday, February 6, 2011, after a long illness. She was born May 1, 1938 in Jersey City, New Jersey. Pat was the daughter of the late Jack and Beatrice Kelly (Kendzia) Greene. Pat worked in the medical field for over 30 years, retiring a number of years ago. Many years a military wife, she traveled extensively, living abroad as well as all over the United States. She was an active member of the American Legion Post 431. Pat was an avid sports fan and thoroughly enjoyed her New York football Giants. She enjoyed a number of activities, particularly Irish music at Aidan's Pub on Sundays, as well as her gambling excursions. Pat is survived by her three children, Bob Williams of Bristol, Marylou Allen-Coogan and her husband Jason Allen of Glendale, AZ, Bill McGuire of Highland, CA, her sisters, Claire Taylor and MaryLou Hagelberg, her five grandchildren, Zach, Chris, Jeffrey, Jenna and Kayla, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at 1:00 PM in St. Mary's Church, 330 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Hope Street, Bristol. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, New England Division, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 or to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
