Mrs Nancy A. Amaral

Mrs. Nancy Ann (Varola) Amaral, age 58, of 28 Roosevelt Drive, Bristol, died unexpectedly Friday, November 16, 2012 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of Frank E. Amaral, Jr., her husband of 36 years. Born in Providence and a lifelong resident of Bristol, she was a daughter of Gloria M. (Graves) Varola of Bristol and the late Peter Varola. Nancy was a graduate of Bristol High School, Class of 1972 and a 1986 graduate of the Newport School of Hairdressing, formerly in Bristol. A Hair Stylist, she worked for over 12 years at the former Makin Waves Salon in Bristol, retiring in 1997. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol and a volunteer at the Columban Fathers Summer Bazaar for 50 years starting when she was 8 years old. Nancy loved cooking, reading, music and most especially spending time and playing with her grandchildren. In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by two children, Christopher Amaral and Kimberly Roy and her husband, Josh, all of Bristol, a step-son, Frank Amaral, III and his wife, Bridget of Warren, five grandchildren, Cassidy, Joshua and Chloe Roy, Courtney and Cory Amaral, two sisters, Linda M. Varola of Newport and Paula J. Ferreira and her husband, Clifford of Bristol, two brothers, Peter J. Varola and his wife, Andrea of North Attleboro, MA and James A. Varola and his wife, Paula of West Kingstown and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 9:00 AM with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours Tuesday, November 20, 2012 from 4:00-7:00 PM. Kindly Omit Flowers.
