Mrs Mary M. Rogers

Mrs. Mary M. (Cabral) Rogers, age 94, of 1014 Hope Street, Bristol, died Saturday, August 18, 2012 at the Silver Creek Manor Nursing Home, 7 Creek Lane, Bristol. She was the wife of the late Earl J. Rogers. Born in Tiverton, she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Cambra) Cabral. A resident of Bristol for 51 years, she previously resided in Fall River, MA and Deltona, FL. Mary was a seamstress for many years at the former Priscilla Sportswear in Bristol retiring in 1976. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol and a member of the Rosary and Altar Society and the Nocturnal Adoration Society at the church and a member of the Bristol Senior Chorus. Mary was an avid NE Patriot's fan. She is survived by a daughter Margaret A. 'Peggy' Howland and her husband Tom of Bristol and a son, Earl J. Rogers, Jr. and his wife Debra of Pawleys Island, SC, a son-in-law, Jack Brady of Taunton, MA, a brother, William Cabral and his wife Elsie of Bristol, five grandchildren, Steven Mello, Arlene Sinar and her husband Michael, all of Bel Air, MD, Karen Robbins and her husband Ty of Union, KY, James Phillips and his wife Yvette of Warren and David Phillips of Bristol, eight great grandchildren, Zakare Durrette, Nolan Mello, Rhiannon Phillips, Cayla Durrette, Logan and Keegan North, Mason and Kelsey Phillips. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce P. Brady and a brother, John Cabral. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Friday, August 24, 2012 at 9:30 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, 1360 North Main Street, Fall River, MA. Visiting hours Thursday, August 23, 2012 from 5:00-8:00 PM.
