Mrs Mary A. Recupero

Mrs. Mary A. (Anania) Recupero, age 89 of 1248 Hope Street, Bristol, died Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Miriam Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of the late Anthony Recupero, her husband of 55 years, who died in 2001. Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Leonarda (Digati) Anania. Mary was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School, Bristol, Class of 1942 and then attended the former Edgewood Business School. Mary was a secretary and later the Supervisor of Personel Properties for the US Navy Base in Newport for 42 years, retiring in 1988. Mary was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol and loved to read, travel around the world with her late husband and spending time with her precious family. She is survived by a son, Anthony J. 'Rick' Recupero of Bristol, a daughter, Andrea M. Hochstrasser (Charles) of Hope Valley, six grandchildren, Jenifer J. Hochstrasser (Rob Martin), Lauren E. Librandi (Steven), Josh A. Recupero (Tina), Amy C., Alissa L. and Kerri L. Recupero and two great grandchildren, Kyla and Kenzi Librandi. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Josephine A. Florenzano. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 10:00AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
