Mrs. Mary T. Pasqual

Mrs. Mary T. (Mascena) Pasqual, age 94, of Prospect Street, Bristol, died peacefully Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at St. Elizabeths Manor, Bristol. She was the wife of the late John J. Pasqual, Sr. Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Annunciata “Nancy” (Russo) Mascena. A member of the Garment Workers Union, she was a dress maker for the former M&R Sportswear formerly in Bristol and the former Well Made Dress Co., formerly in Warren for 30 years, retiring in 1976. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol and a member of the Rosary and Altar Society, a member of the former Mothers Club at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School, a chief aide for the 1992 4th of July Celebration support Chief Marshal Sam Mascena. She is survived by three sons, John J. Pasqual, Jr. (Gloria), Manuel Pasqual (Theresa) and Thomas A. Pasqual (JoAnn), all of Bristol, eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren, one sister, Carmella “Millie” Andrews of Tiverton, two brothers, Stephen Mascena of Barrington and Angelo Mascena of Swansea, MA. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Connie Jenkinson and Phoebe Lawrence and a brother, Santo P. “Sam” Mascena. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Friday, April 9 at 9:00 AM with a Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours Thursday, April 8 from 5:00-7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, or to St. Elizabeths Manor Patient Activities Fund, 1 Dawn Hill Road, both Bristol, RI 02809.
