Mrs. Mary A. (Paradiso) Palmieri, age 78, formerly of Benjamin Church Manor, 1014 Hope Street, Bristol, died Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at the home of her daughter Susan, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Arthur F. Palmieri. Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Gaetana (Potenza) Paradiso. A homemaker, she was a member of the VFW Womens Auxiliary of Memphis, TN and a member and board member of the Benjamin Church Manor Tenants Association, a member of the Benjamin Church Manor Sr. Center and a volunteer for many years in the area nursing homes and homebound shut-ins. She loved to crochet and knit. She is survived by six children; Roseann Cabral of Coventry, Arthur Palmieri, Jr. of Lockport, NY, Deborah Jean DiSano of Martinsville, PA, Carol Reineke of New Rochelle, IL, Susan Catalano of Bristol, with whom she had been residing with, and William Palmieri of Attleboro, MA, four brothers, Frank and Maria Paradiso, both of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Nicholas Paradiso of Swansea, MA and Michael Paradiso of Belchertown, MA, two sisters, Antonetta Troiano of Bristol and Susann Joy of Chester, VT., twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Paradiso and Lucy Arnolds. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at 11:30 AM in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
