Mrs Mary Lucy Metcalf

Mrs. Mary Lucy (Furtado) Metcalf, age 79 of Cooke Street, Bristol, died Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. She was the wife of the late Francis R. 'Frank' Metcalf, her husband of 47 years who died in 2004. Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Mary M. (Menezes) Furtado. Mrs. Metcalf worked as a Data Entry Clerk for the Dixon Corp. in Bristol for over 25 years, retiring a number of years ago. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth's Church, Bristol and a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality at the church. She is survived by a daughter, Sandra L. Jenks and her husband, Harry, a son, Keith Metcalf, a granddaughter, Erica Gianinni and her husband, David, a great granddaughter, Sophie, all of Bristol, and a brother, Arthur Furtado, Jr. of Warwick. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Furtado. Funeral services and burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
