Mrs. Mary A. Mascagna

Mary A. (Garcia) Mascagna, 95, a proud Bristolian and lifelong resident, passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 28, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband Nick. They were married sixty-two years. Born in Bristol, she was the daughter of the late Frank Garcia and Mary (Goulart) Garcia. Her siblings, Albert, Gloria and Frances preceded her in death. She was the mother of Jacqueline Teixeira (Tony) and MaryAnn Salesi (Paul) of Bristol; grandmother of Camille, Neal (Kayla), Alexandria, Candace, Nicole and Justin (Kim); great-grandmother of Kerry, Richie, Tori, Kayla, Rocco, Alivia, Arria, Aubrianna and Jacoby. Mary was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School, Class of 1943. She was a communicant of St. Marys Church and was involved in the Womens Guild, finance committee and holiday bazaar committee throughout the years. She worked for many years at Coras Dress Shop formerly in Bristol. Funeral services from Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood St., Bristol, Monday, July 2 at 10:00 am with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. Marys Church, 330 Wood St., Bristol. Burial to follow at St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut St., Bristol. Visiting hours will be Sunday, July 1, from 2:00-5:00 pm.
