Mrs Mary Angel Gervais

Mrs. Mary A. (Carlos) Gervais, age 94 of Doran Avenue, Bristol, died Sunday, January 22, 2012 at the Crestwood Nursing and Convalescent Home, Warren. She was the beloved wife of the late Henry G. Gervais. Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of the late Manuel J. and Annie A. (Pinheiro) Carlos and the step-daughter of the late Isabel G. (Pinheiro) Carlos. Mary was a hairdresser and the owner and operator of the former Ruth Beauty Shop formerly in Bristol for many years, retiring a number of years ago. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth's Church, Bristol. She loved spending her summers on Cape Cod for many years. She is survived by her sister-in-laws, brother-in laws, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her husband, parents, step-mother, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph J. Carlos and a nephew, Joseph J. Carlos, Jr.. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 10:00 AM in St. Elizabeth's Church, 577 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
