Mrs Mary A. Ferreira

Mrs. Mary Ann (Oliveira) Ferreira, age 86 of 198 Bay View Avenue, Bristol, died peacefully Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at the Silver Creek Manor, Bristol, surrounded by her loving husband and daughter. She was the wife of Manuel C. Ferreira, her husband of 62 years. Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Alexandrina (Pinheiro) Oliveira. Mary was a machine operator for the former Carr-Fulflex Company former of Bristol for 38 years until her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth's Church and a former Catholic Charities volunteer. She enjoyed spending time and traveling with her family, playing cards, trips to Foxwood, playing bingo and skat, and enjoying her friends at the Warren Senior Center. She is survived by a daughter, Paula J. Ferreira, a brother, Joseph Oliveira in Nashua, NH a sister, Helen Andrade of Bristol, and many adoring nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Steven Ferreira, and sisters, Alexandrina Greene and Laura Andrade. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 8:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM in St. Elizabeth's Church, 577 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours will be Friday, January 23, 2015 from 4:00-7:00 PM.
