Mrs. Marie Rose 'Nana' Calderiso

Mrs. Marie Rose 'Nana' (Rene) Calderiso, age 81, of 27 Oliver Street, Bristol, died Thursday, April 1, 2010 at the Roger Williams Medical Center, Providence, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Matthew A. Calderiso, her husband of 61 years. Born and raised in Warren, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Evelina (Gagnon) Rainey. Mrs. Calderiso was a resident of Bristol most of her life. She was a textile worker for the former Bristol Manufacturing Company for 38 years, retiring in 1980. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol. She enjoyed cooking, reading and spending time with her family. In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons, Matt Calderiso and his wife, Janet of Bristol, Tom Calderiso and his wife, Linda of Bellingham, MA, five grandchildren, Greg, Jill, Daniel and his wife Margery, Patrick and Kyle and two great grandchildren, Gabriel and Logan, a sister, Irene Dunbar of Warren and a brother, Robert Rainey of Bristol. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Eva West, and four brothers, Henry Rainey, Edward Rene, Russell Rainey and Roland Rene. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Wednesday, April 7 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Hope Street, Bristol. Visiting hours Tuesday, April 6 from 4:00-7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bristol Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 775, Bristol, RI 02809.
