Mrs Maria I. Pimentel

Mrs. Maria I. Pimentel, age 85 of 7 Antony Avenue, Bristol, died Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Jose Medeiros Pimentel. Born in Faial, Portugal, a daughter of the late Antonio and Ester da Conceio (Anselmo) Pereira do Couto. A resident of Bristol since 1966, she was a machine operator for over 25 years for the Carol Cable Company, formerly in Warren, retiring in 1989. A communicant of St. Elizabeths Church, Bristol, she loved sewing, and also teaching young girls how to sew, knitting, crocheting, gardening and spending time with her beloved family and friends. She is survived by four children; Cizaltina Faria (the late Manuel Faria), Maria Margarida Pimentel, Adeline Rodrigues (Raymond Rodrigues) and Joseph A. Pimentel (Karen Johnson), seven grandchildren; Ryan DeFaria (Kimberly), Diane Tomaz (Shelley Hull), Manny Faria, David Tomaz (Lauren), Andrew Faria, Ashley B. and Meghan L. Rodrigues and four great grandchildren; Aidan S. Tomaz, Dominic Tomaz-Hull, Lukas G. Faria and Christian Tomaz-Hull, siblings; Agueda, Eduardo, Elzira and Raimundo Pereira. She was preceded in death in addition to her husband and parents by siblings; Manuel and Antonio Couto, Idalina, Jose, Alfredo, Cecilia, Joao and Edmundo Pereira. Funeral Services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 8:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM in St. Elizabeths Church, 577 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours Friday, February 26, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
