Mrs Margaret M. Haray

Mrs. Margaret M. (Garvin) Haray, age 86, of 124 Wood Street, Bristol, died Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at St. Elizabeth's Manor, Bristol surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of George F. Haray, her husband of 58 years. Born in Providence and a lifelong resident of 124 Wood Street, Bristol, she was a daughter of the late George J. and Margaret C. (Flynn) Garvin. Margaret was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School, Bristol, Class of 1942. She was an inspector for 24 years for the Dixon Corp in Bristol retiring in 1989. She had previously worked for the former Lionel Carriero Real Estate Office in Bristol and then the former US Rubber Company and Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corp, both formerly in Bristol for 20 years. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, Bristol was an avid Crocheter and loved traveling especially to Germany to visit her son and his family and to many of her husband's Navy reunions. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Mark A. Haray and his wife Donna and a granddaughter, Nina Haray, all of Liederbach (Dillendorf) Germany, her twin sister, Geraldine G. Allaire of Bristol and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Saturday, March 19 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Mary's Church, 330 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours Friday from 4:00-7:00 PM.
