Mrs Margaret J. Camara

Mrs. Margaret J. (Tallman) Camara, age 78 of 58 Franca Drive, Bristol, died peacefully Monday, May 2, 2011 at her home, surrounded by her loving family and Bebe. She was the wife of the late David L. 'Potato Man' Camara, her husband of 52 years who died in 2002. Born and raised in Barrington, she was a daughter of the late James and Marie Ann (Cloutier) Tallman. Margaret worked in the Circulation Department of East Bay Classifieds in Bristol for over 20 years, retiring in 1991. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, Bristol and a great lover of all animals, truly a modern day 'Dr. Doolittle'. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and cooking. She is survived by three sons, David R. Camara and his wife Pamela J., John Paul Camara and his wife Virginia, Thomas A. Camara and his wife JoAnne, all of Bristol, a daughter, Arline B. Smith and her husband Larry of Roque Bluffs, Maine, a sister, Virginia Nicholson of Warren, nine grandchildren, Jennifer Martins, Amanda Camara, Lisa Conway, Matthew Smith, Eric, Brian Camara, Thomas J., Marlayna and Diana Camara and three great grandchildren, her beloved cat, Bebe. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Duzik. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Friday, May 6, 2011 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Mary's Church, 330 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours, Thursday, May 5 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM.
