Mrs. Lillian J. (Barrett) Santos, age 79, of 1014 Hope Street, Bristol, died Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Cleveland, Ohio and a lifelong resident of Bristol, she was a daughter of the late Albert J. and Josephine (Borges) Barrett. Lillian was an inspector for the Dixon Manufacturing Co. for 23 years, retiring in 1993. She had previously worked at the former Premier Thread Company. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth's Church and member of the Benjamin Church Manor Senior Citizen Center. She is survived by eight children, Anthony J. Santos, Jr., Michael P. and Robert W. Santos, all of Bristol, Albert J. Santos of Warwick, Daniel Santos of Providence, Joseph P. Santos and Jane M. Proulx of Warren and Karen Gallagher of Port St. Lucie, FL, a sister, Sheila Terra of Bristol, seventeen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Edward Santos and a sister, Delores Botelho. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service, Friday, February 24, 2012 at 1:00 PM in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Benjamin Church Manor Senior Center, 1014 Hope Street, Bristol, RI 02809.
