Mrs Isabel V. Mckenzie

Mrs. Isabel (Valante) McKenzie, age 86, of 24 Catherine Street, Bristol passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2010, at her home peacefully surrounded by her loving children and family. She was the wife of the late Alfred J. McKenzie, Sr. and mother of late Silvinia Ann McKenzie. A lifelong Bristol resident, she was the daughter of the late Anthony F. Valante, Sr. and Rose (Tortorice) Valante. She was predeceased by five sisters and two brother and was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol. Isabel was a devoted and loving mother, she leaves four sons, Alfred J. McKenzie, Jr. and his wife Antonette, Kenneth J. McKenzie, Sr. and his wife Ursulina, both of Barrington, Steven A. McKenzie, Sr. and his wife Lorrie of Largo, FL and Raymond J. McKenzie, Sr. and his wife Cindy of Bristol, two daughters, Rita A. McKenzie of Riverside and Patricia A. Brum and her husband, Gilbert Sr. of Bristol, six sisters, Florence Rose of Cape Cod, MA, Mary Zorro of Maine, Dorothy Jarvis of Florida, Viola Vinacco of Cranston, Shirley Harris of Florida and Julia Valante of Tiverton, three brothers, Bernard Valante of Bristol, Anthony Valante, Jr. of Florida and John Valante of North Attleboro, MA. Her beloved grandchildren; Deborah Ann, Valarie Ann, Jennifer Lee, Christine Ann, Raymond Joseph Jr., Kenneth Joseph Jr., Leonard Rolland III, Steven Anthony Jr., Sara Jeanne, Kristen Jean, Kortney Ann Ashley Lynn, Kaitlin Jean, Gilbert F. Jr., Kasandra Jean and Erica Nicole and her beloved great grandchildren; Jessica Lynn, Frank Joseph, Shawn Eric, Justin Dale, Kayla Marie, Melissa Ann, Jennifer lynn, John Alexander, Xavier Miguel, Emma Isabella, Rachel Alexandra and Aliannah Marie. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Thursday, November 11, 2010 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. The Rev. Michael A. Sisco will be the Celebrant-Homilist. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol, where Father Sisco will read the committal prayers. The following will serve as pallbearers; Alfred J. McKenzie, Jr., Kenneth J. McKenzie, Sr., Steven A. McKenzie, Sr., Raymond J. McKenzie, Sr., Rita A. McKenzie, Patricia A. Brum and Giblert F. Brum, Jr. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, November 10, 2010 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
