Mrs. Irene Susan Mosher

Mrs. Irene Susan (Masley) Mosher, age 83 of Brooks Farm Drive, Bristol, died Thursday, May 14, 2020 at the Newport Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Frank Mosher, her husband of 59 years, who preceded her in death in March of 2014. Born in Newport Township, PA, a daughter of the late John and Pauline (Tomko) Masley, Irene has been a resident of Bristol for 60 years, moving here from Wilkes Barre, PA. A homemaker, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, playing Scrabble, and gardening around her home. Irene was always known to have a pot of coffee brewing and a crossword puzzle in the works. A lifelong learner, Irene enjoyed observing the wildlife around her yard and documenting the animals she discovered. She was also an avid reader and a talented artist. Irene is survived by five children: Stephen Mosher of Derry, NH, Donald Mosher (Tracey) of Oxford, MA, Susan Hahn (the late Martin) of Plattsmouth, NE, John Mosher (Maria) of Bristol and Matthew Mosher (Kim) of Peabody, MA; thirteen grandchildren: Nicholas, Michael, William and Julie Mosher, Justin and Kelsey Mosher, Sarah Delzeit and Andrew Hahn (Jazmond), Allison, Benjamin and Jonathan Mosher, Luke and Addison Mosher; and two great grandchildren: Thomas and Abigail Delzeit. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Pauline and Mary Masley, Margaret Zabrowski, and her brother, John Masley. Relatives and friends are invited to attend A Celebration of her life, Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 11:00 AM in Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, RI with Visitation starting at 10:00 AM and Burial will follow in St. Mary of the Bay Cemetery, Warren.
