Mrs. Irene F. (Malone) Armillotto, age 89 of Benjamin Church Manor, 1014 Hope Street, Bristol, died Friday, February 5, 2016 at her home. She was the wife of the late Domenic Armillotto, who preceded her in death in 1976. Born in Bristol and a resident for most of her life, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Malone and the late Angelina (Gonsalves) Xavier. Raised in East Providence and in Providence, Irene was Manufacturing Floor Supervisor for the American Tourister Company, formerly in Warren for 30 years, retiring in 1988. She had previously worked for the former Carr-Fulflex Corporation. Irene was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, puzzles and Sudoku along with daily trips with her best friend, Elsie to the Dunkin Donuts shop on Gooding Avenue. She was a past officer of the Benjamin Church Manor Tenants Association. Irene is survived by two children; Ronald F. Armillotto (Jacqueline) and Pauline Palazio (Henry) both of Bristol, two grandchildren; Miranda Ortelt (Dennis) and Anthony D. Palazio both of Bristol, two great grandchildren, Rocco and Gabrielle Palazio and step-grandchildren; Tori and Kayla Hanuschak, Warren, Trevor and Corey Ortelt, and a brother, Albert Xavier of Nashville, TN. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Malone. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Friday, February 12, 2016 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours will be Thursday, February 11, 2016 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM.
