Mrs Helen St. George

Helen (Tavares) St. George, age 89, of Gorham Place, died Saturday, September 21, 2013 at the Silver Creek Manor Nursing Home, Bristol with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Joseph A. St. George. Born in Bristol, and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Laura (Rosa) Tavares. Helen was a bookeeper for the family business, King & St. George Electrical Contractors for 30 years, retiring in 1991. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol. Helen also loved her trips to Foxwoods. Helen is survived by her children, Thomas A. St. George (Ana) of Bristol and Gail Ann Calouro (John) of Kennisaw, GA., three grandchildren, Jeffrey M. Calouro, Melissa Ann Pacheco and Kelsey St. George and a great grandson, Jensen M. Calouro. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers Joseph and George Tavares. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Friday, September 27, 2013 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Hope Street, Bristol. Visiting hours Thursday, September 26, 2013 from 4:00-7:00 PM.
