Mrs. Gloria V. Drolet

Mrs. Gloria V. (Smith) Drolet, age 83, of 36 Greenway Drive, Bristol, died Friday, December 31, 2010 at Roger Williams Medical Center, Providence. She was the wife of Peter E. Drolet for 61 years. Born in Fall River, MA and raised in Warren, she was a daughter of the late Edward F. and Mary V. (Pattie) Smith. A resident of Bristol for 56 years, she worked as an inspector at Aspects in Warren for 20 years, retiring in 2001. A graduate of Warren High School, Class of 1945, she was a communicant of St. Mary's Church and a past president of the former Womens Guild at the church, and a committee member and volunteer at the Columban Fathers Summer Bazaar for many years. She was also a member, historian and trustee for the Bristol Emblem Club. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Lynn A. Perry and her husband Alan, Paul W. Drolet and his wife Mary Lou, Mark E. Drolet and Michael T. Drolet and his wife Julie, all of Bristol, eight grandchildren, Diane M. Nappi and her husband Dave, Denise M. Towsley and her husband Gregg, April L. Gill, Matthew J. Drolet, Nicole R. Costa and her husband Nicholas, Scott E., Devon A. and Marcelle H. Drolet, four great grandchildren, Samantha L. and Cam N. Nappi, Sayler L. and Morgan R. Towsley. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Mary's Church, 330 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours will be Monday, January 3, 2011 from 4:00-7:00 PM.
