Mrs Gertrude D'Allesandro

Mrs. Gertrude (Butler) D'Allesandro, age 92 of 7 Baron Road, Barrington and formerly of Warren, died Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Americo P. 'Pete' D'Allesandro. Born and raised in Bristol, she was a daughter of the late Francis P. and Margaret (McKay) Butler. A resident of Barrington for 17 years, she previously resided in Warren. A homemaker, Gertrude was a wonderful cook and baker, loved playing Bingo and was a member of the Warren and Barrington Senior Centers. She is survived by five children, Peter D'Allesandro and his wife, Faith Wilbur of Little Compton, Susan Langmack of Bristol, Paul D'Allesandro and his wife, Jane of Warren, Mark A. D'Allesandro and his wife Geraldine of Magnolia, Delaware and Dr. Tracy A. Carreiro, DVM and her husband, Joseph of New Bedford, MA, a daughter-in-law, Jane Berlo D'Allesandro of Swansea, MA, nine grandchildren, Laura Larrive - Frank, Sara D'Allesandro, Julie Frank - Benjamin, Bianca D'Allesandro - Abigail Pike, Christopher A. Langmack, Ian D'Allesandro, Erin D'Allesandro, Joseph 'Jac' Carreiro and Tessa Carreiro and six great grandchildren, Emma, Isabel, Hannah, Andrew and Marianna Frank and Emma Larrive. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph, James and William Butler and three sisters, Margaret Hollis, Blanche McClure and Mary LaFazia. Funeral Services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Mary's Church, 330 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in Newport Memorial Park, Middletown. Visiting hours, Friday, August 24, 2012 from 5:00-7:00 PM.
