Mrs Filomena F. Sousa

Mrs. Filomena F. (Lemos) Sousa, age 88, of Union Street, Bristol, died Thursday, February 6, 2014 at the Roger Williams Medical Center, Providence. She was the wife of Francisco V. Sousa her husband of 62 years. Born in Terceira, Azores, a daughter of the late Francisco and Mariana (Ferreira) Lemos Filomena lived in Tennessee before moving to Bristol in 1969 Filomena was a stitcher for the former American Tourister formerly in Warren. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth's Church. Besides her husband she is survived by a son, Francisco A. Sousa of Bristol, two daughters, Filomena F. Botelho and Marie Cabral both of Bristol Eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren and a brother John Lemos of Turlock, CA. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by thre sisters, Maria Caetano, Francisca Sousa and Alexandria Latham, two brothers, Jose and Tony Lemos. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home 192 Wood Street, Bristol Monday, February 10, 2014 at 10:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Elizabeth's Church 577 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Hope Street, Bristol Visiting hours Sunday from 4:00-8:00 PM
