Mrs Evelyn Botelho

Mrs. Evelyn (Souza) Botelho, age 85 of 24 Mason Avenue, Bristol, died Friday, January 4, 2013 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Botelho, her husband of 61 years, who died in 2008. Born and raised in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Joao and Rosa (Costa) Souza. A resident of Bristol since 1954, she was a assembly line worker at the former Aspect's Co., in Warren for several years, retiring in 1992. She had previously worked at the former Premier Thread Company, the Raytheon Corp. and she was a teacher's aide at the Reynold's School in Bristol. She enjoyed spending time painting in both oil and watercolors. She is survived by a daughter, Elaine E. Botelho of Middletown. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, John P., Anthony and Joseph Souza. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service, Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol. Visitation will be Wednesday morning only preceding the service from 8:30 AM. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol.
