Mrs. Eva (Marshall) DeLuca, age 90, of 57 Kingswood Road, Bristol, died Thursday, February 9, 2012 at the home of her granddaughter Ava Costa in Bristol, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late George DeLuca. Born in Dighton, MA and a Bristol resident for most of her life, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Mary (Brazil) Marshall. She was a school lunch program worker for 20 years at the former Warren High School retiring in 1983. She had previously worked at the former Rhee Elastic Company. Eva was a communicant of St. Elizabeth's Church, Bristol and a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality. She was a member of the Bristol Women's Democratic Town Committee and embroidered a panel for the framed Bristol Town Seal found in the town hall. She put together, edited and contributed to the Italian Cookbook that was published by the Leonardo da Vinci Lodge, Sons of Italy. She is survived by a daughter, Penny DeLuca of Bristol, four grandchildren, Ava Costa of Bristol, Matthew Clarke of Castlerock,CO, Gina McKenzie of Warren and Stacey DeMello of Fall River, MA, eight great grandchildren, Cote and Andersyn Costa, Tylan, Duncan and Sloane Clarke, Sophie and Tess McKenzie and Georgia DeMello, and a brother, Henry Marshall of Warren. In addition to her husband and parents, was preceded in death by a daughter, Elaine V. DeLuca, a sister, Lydia Sousa and a brother, Anthony Marshall. Funeral Services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Elizabeth's Church, 577 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visitation will be Tuesday morning only at 9:00 AM.
