Mrs Elvira T. Groff

Mrs. Elvira T. (Cirillo) Groff, age 88 of Roosevelt Drive, Bristol, died Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at St. Elizabeths Manor, Bristol. She was the wife of the late Edward E. Groff, who preceded her in death in 2010. Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Maria (Burgarelli) Cirillo. Elvira worked for Dixon Corporation, formerly in Bristol for 19 years, retiring in 1990. She was a communicant of St. Marys Church, Bristol. She is survived by five grandchildren; Melinda Groff of Warren, Edward Groff, of Bristol, Kerri Groff, of Pawtucket, Kevin Groff, of Warwick and Kristen Groff, of Pawtucket, nine great grandchildren and a sister, Theresa Tangredi of New Jersey. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Edward Groff, Jr., sisters; Wilhelmina Marshall, Corina Matarese, Mary Karnes, Rose Borges, and Corina Cirillo, and brothers; Michael, Anthony, Angelo, Fred, Dominic Cirillo and Frank Soignoli. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Marys Church, 330 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours, Friday, September 23, 2016 from 4:00-7:00 PM.
