Mrs Elsie D. Pastore

Mrs. Elsie D. (Ferreira-Benevides) Pastore, age 89, of 160 Franklin Street, Bristol and formerly of Robin Drive, died Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at the Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River, MA surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Gaetano A. Pastore. Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Adeline (Farias) Benevides. She worked for a number of years at the former Carr-Fulflex Co. and the former Collins and Aikman Co., both formerly in Bristol. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth's Church, Bristol and loved cooking and baking for family and friends. She is survived by a daughter, Patricia E. Faria and her husband, John and a son, Thomas A. Pastore and his wife, Joyce, all of Bristol, two sisters, Mary Amaral of Greenfield, CA and Cora F. Guido of Bristol, five grandchildren, Kimberly Heisler and her husband, Walter, Jeffrey J. Faria and his wife, Dede, Jonathan P. Faria and his wife, Tracey, Lisa A. Pastore and Beth J. Rendel and her husband, Danny, and four great grandchildren, Kyle J. Liverios, Jared B., Tyler J. and Kaia N. Faria. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Joseph, August, Alipio,Antonio and Peter Benevides and two sisters, Kathleen 'Cappy'Marino and Madeline Ross. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Monday, July 30, 2012 at 10:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Elizabeth's Church, 577 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Hope Street, Bristol. Visiting hours, Sunday, July 29, 2012 from 2:00-5:00 PM.
