Mrs Elizabeth A. Griffith

Mrs. Elizabeth A. (Moniz) Griffith, age 60, of 30 Detroit Avenue, Warren, died Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Michael Griffith who preceded her in death in 2012. Born in Fall River, MA and raised in Bristol, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Alice (Almeida) Moniz. A resident of Warren for the past 5 years, she previously resided in Holliston, MA for many years. Elizabeth worked in Property Management and in the Certification Dept. for The Waters Corporation in Massachusetts for several years, retiring in 2012 due to illness. Elizabeth was a graduate of Bristol High School, Class of 1972, she was a communicant of St. Thomas The Apostle Church in Warren, a member of the Bristol County Lodge of Elks and had served as a Notary Public for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for many years. She is survived by two sons, Evan M. Griffith of Plainville, MA and Gregory J. Griffith of Portland, Oregon and a sister, Mary Jane Sousa (John) of Warren. She was preceded in death in addition to her husband and parents by a brother, Thomas Moniz, Jr. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 7:30 PM in the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol. Visitation will precede the service from 5:00 PM. Burial will be private.
