Mrs Dorothy H. Maturi

Mrs. Dorothy H. (Ledoux) Maturi, age 93 of Benjamin Church Manor and formerly of 83 Burton Street, Bristol, died Sunday, July 20, 2014 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Henry G. Maturi, who proceded her in death in 1990. Born in Marlboro, MA and a lifelong Bristol resident, she was a daughter of the late Amos and Mary (Sugden) Ledoux. Dorothy attended Bristol Public schools and was a homemaker. Dorothy loved spending time Crocheting, making afghans for many family members and friends. She was an avid reader and spending time working on word search puzzles. For many years enjoy making ceramics. Dorothy is survived by three children, Dorothy A. Maturi-Flynn (William J.) of Weymouth, MA, Henry G. Maturi, Jr. (Debra) of North Kingstown and Harold J. Maturi (Candace) of Warwick, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren and her loving companion, her dog, Abbey. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mabel Marchand and two brothers, Harold and Earl Ledoux. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service, Friday, July 25, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Hope Street, Bristol. Visiting hours will be Thursday, July 24, 2014 from 4:00-7:00 PM.
