Mrs Carmella Mello

Mrs. Carmella “Millie” (Mancieri) Mello, age 92, formerly of Annaswamscutt Drive, Bristol, died Friday, September 16, 2016 at the Silver Creek Manor Nursing Home, Bristol. She was the wife of the late Raymond J. Mello, who preceded her in death in 2006. Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of the late Saverio and Marguerita (Marabello) Mancieri. Millie was a retired Factory worker, working for a number of years for the former Bristol Manufacturing Company and the Converse Rubber Company, formerly in Bristol. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol, and loved babysitting for her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by two children; Anthony “Buck” Mancieri of Bristol and Rosemarie Howes of Rehoboth, MA, a brother, Saverio Mancieri, Jr. (Shirley) of Bristol, eight grandchildren; Brett Mancieri (Jen), Brian Mancieri (Jodi), Keith Mancieri (Erika), Corey, Meg, and Alex Mancieri, Jess Remine (John) and Ray Howes and eight great grandchildren; Brian, Christopher, Nathan, Anthony, Sage, Kaleb, and Jake Mancieri and Sophia Remine. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brothers and sisters; Antonetta Diodati, Bonaventura, Mary Alice, Caroline, Frank, Cosmo and Nicholas Mancieri. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours, Tuesday, September 20, 2016 from 4:00-7:00 PM.
