Mrs. Anne (Romano) Ligeiro, age 94 of Griswold Avenue, Bristol, died Friday, August 3, 2012 at the Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of the late John P. Ligeiro. Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (Troiano) Romano. A homemaker, she was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School, Class of 1935 and a graduate with a business degree from the former Johnson and Wales Business School now Johnson and Wales University. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol and enjoyed spending time reading, sewing and knitting and an avid sports lover, she enjoyed watching Womens Basketball, Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots games. She is survived by three daughters, Patricia A. Bourne, Eleanor Ligeiro and Donna Ligeiro, five grandchildren, Michele LeBlanc and her husband Paul, Nicole Espinoza and her husband Jerry, Jodi Del Razo and her husband Raphael, Jeffrey Day and his wife Jessica and Bethany Day, four great grandchildren, Hooper LeBlanc, Alex Hernandez, Elia and Lillian Grace Del Razo. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Louis Romano in World War II. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Hope Street, Bristol. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
