Mrs. Anne D. 'Dotty' (Bruno) Campagna, age 81, of 113 Bradford Street, Bristol, died Monday, January 31, 2011 in St. Elizabeth's Manor, Bristol surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late C. Thomas Campagna. Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Assunta (Santilli) Bruno. She was the Valedictorian of Colt Memorial High School, Class of 1947. She was the administrative assistant to the director of Rogers Free Library in Bristol for 25 years, retiring in 1998. She had previously worked at the former US Rubber Company in Bristol. Dotty was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church where she was formerly a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Senior Choir, member of the 16th of July Feast Committee and the founder of the Country Store booth at the feast and the fall bazaar and a volunteer at both for many years. She also served on the advisory board for Our Lady of Mount Carmel School where she was a president of the former Mother's Club at the School. She was a Girl Scout leader for many years and a member of the Leonardo daVinci Lodge # 2289, Order Sons of Italy in America. She is survived by four children, C. Thomas Campagna, Jr. and his wife Ann of Monson, MA, Marie Campagna Franklin and her husband William of Newtonville, MA, Paul A. Campagna and his wife Susanne of Somers, CT and Susan J. Campagna of Bristol, seven grandchildren, Kristen Gaebel and her husband Ryan, Julia Feeley and her husband Rich, Emily Walsh and her husband Daniel, Anna Kate Franklin, Daniel, Anthony and Laura Campagna, three great grandchildren, Owen Ryan Gaebel, Elizabeth Peyton Gaebel and Liam Richard Feeley. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Anthony and Paul Bruno and three sisters, Josephine Pansa, Grace Sousa and Pauline DeSantis. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Friday, February 4, 2011 at 10:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours will be Thursday, February 3 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, or to St. Elizabeth's Manor 'Activities Fund - South Wing', 1 Dawn Hill, both Bristol, RI 02809.
