Mrs. Ann L. Mcginn

Mrs. Ann L. (Chatterton) McGinn, age 87, of 70 Beach Road, Bristol, died Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at the Miriam Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of Joseph A. McGinn, her husband of 53 years. Born in Pawtucket, and a resident of Bristol for 53 years, she was a daughter of the late Allan H. and Mary G. (Connly) Chatterton and the step daughter of the late Mary D. “Granny” Chatterton. Mrs. McGinn was a graduate of Pawtucket East High School, Class of 1941. A homemaker, Mrs. McGinn was a communicant of St. Mary of the Bay Church of Warren, a member of the Hope Circle # 70, Daughters of Isabella, Bristol and loved knitting and needlepoint work. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children; Joan McGinn of Bristol, Mary M. Gortzig and her husband, Christopher of Milford, MA, Michael J. McGinn and his wife, Michelle of Leniore, NC and Ann L. Costa of Bristol, a sister, Ruth C. Corcoran of Middletown, a grandcat, Woody, and five granddogs, Cassie, Zoe, Zeus, Zack and Bailey. In addition to her parents and step mother, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Ann McGinn, two sisters, Mary C. Hogan, and Joan C. Britton and two brothers, John Chatterton and Allan H. Chatterton, Jr. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol Friday, March 26, 2010 at 10:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Mary of the Bay Church, 645 Main Street, Warren. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Hope Street, Bristol. Visitation Friday morning only from 9:00-10:00 AM.
