Mrs. Aileen M. Ascoli

Mrs. Aileen M. (Moseifski) Ascoli, age 90 of Academy Avenue, Bristol, died Sunday, July 2, 2017 at the Silver Creek Manor, Bristol, following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Nicholas M. Ascoli, who preceded her in death in January of 1997. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (Klimowicz) Moseifski. She was a Bristol resident for most of her life, moving to Bristol in 1949. Aileen was an administrator in the dental office of the Newport Navy Base for over 20 years, retiring in 1989. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol and enjoyed spending time knitting, cooking and reading. She is survived by two sons; James Ascoli (Debra) of Bristol and Thomas Ascoli (Susan) of Warwick, four grandchildren; Bethany Ascoli (Hernando Pena) of Los Angeles, CA, David Ascoli (Ashley Glennon), of Boston, MA, Brian Ascoli (Vidary) of Cumberland, and Lauren Ascoli (Ryan Maxwell) of Baltimore, MD and three great grandchildren; Bennett and Avalee Ascoli and Lucas Pena. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brothers; John, Henry and Frank Moseifski and sisters; Helen Barlow, Martha Wysocki and Jennie Phillips. Funeral services will be held from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 10:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visitation will be Thursday morning only from 9:00-10:00 AM.
