Adeline Morris (Antunes) Known for her quiet nature, her dedication to her faith & family, her resilience, and her sweet humble caring spirit. Passed on Easter morning, April 1, 2018. Born to Joseph & Mary Antunes in 1931 near Horseneck Beach. Raised on a farm in Westport, MA with her siblings Mary Perry (deceased), Emily Andrade (deceased), Connie Dubois (deceased), Del Cangiano, Alice Moore (deceased), Tony Antunes, & Rose Manchester (deceased). Devoted wife to Daniel Morris, who proceeded her in death just shy of their 60th wedding anniversary. They resided on Harris Ave in Warren, RI, close to the Kicky, for the beginning of their lives together, then resided up the Kicky in Bristol, RI, for close to 50 years. They were snowbirds in Cape Canaveral, FL. Dedicated mother to Robert Morris of Bristol, Sheila (David) Sardinha of Bristol, Gregg (Julie) Morris of Duxbury, MA, and Rachel Morris of Bristol. Preceded in death by Patricia (John) Goulart. Proud grandmother to Jarrod (Casey) Goulart of Warren, Jacob Sardinha of Bristol, and Colton Morris of Duxbury, MA. Aunt Adeline to many nieces & nephews. Revered by her many sister & brother- in- laws, and extended family & friends. Steadfast sister at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses Warren, RI congregation, and the Merritt Island, FL congregation, when in FL. Endured many health concerns for decades. In the most recent years, a resident of St Elizabeths Manor in Bristol. Before her health concerns compounded, she enjoyed traveling, the beach, her pool, gardening, cooking, dancing, dining, shopping, exercising, sewing, playing cards, making puzzles, yet most enjoyed gatherings with family & friends. Her love for all was genuine. She had a welcoming home and was an outstanding cook and an avid gardener. Giving flowers & vegetables from her garden, and feeding visitors, brought her joy. She was unassuming and preferred not to impose. Her deep faith and honor to God was unwavering. She was slow to anger, patient, & kind. She was grateful & found joy in what she could do instead of what she could not do, especially as her health deteriorated. She lead by example. Calling hours are 5-8pm on Friday, April 6th, at Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood St, Bristol. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, April 7th at 1:30pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, 9 Wilbur Ave, Warren, RI. Her memorial service will be lead by Brother Carl Palanzi. Throughout her 87 years, she was grateful to have known many. Family & friends are welcome to join in commemorating her very full life. Adeline never colored her hair and seldom wore makeup, but she loved to dress and wear her trendy hats & scarves. If inclined, for her memorial, feel welcome to join in wearing your favored hat and/or scarf, in celebration of Adeline. Burial will be private.
