Mr Vincent M. Troiano

Mr. Vincent M. 'Jibla' Troiano, age 95 of 72 Oliver Street, Bristol, died Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Newport Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Antoinetta (Paradiso) Troiano, his wife of 66 years. Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, he was a son of the late Luigi and Maria (Marasco) Troiano. Vincent served as a Technician Fifth Grade in the US Army, during WWII in France. He was a warehouse truck driver for the Providence-Butler Paper Company in Franklin, MA for over 40 years, retiring in 1994. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War and loved spending time hanging out at Hope Diner, mushrooming, gardening, buying lottery tickets and known to be seen napping in his vehicle. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Marie Troiano and a a granddaughter, Tina Lopes Harvey (Chris), all of Bristol. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Louis Troiano, a brother, Joseph M. Troiano and three sisters, Concetta J. Hill, Raphaelina Armillotto and Jennie Girard. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours, Monday, April 27, 2015 from 4:00-7:00 PM.
