Mr. Steven Rene Quintin, 58 of Saunderstown, died peacefully at the Philip Hulitary Hospice Center in Providence, surrounded by his family. Raised in Warren, Steve was a graduate of Warren High School and Bryant University. He was a transportation engineer for the State of Rhode Island Department of Transportation for more than 25 years, serving as supervisor and engineer on projects ranging from the restoration of Newport's historic Cliff Walk to, more recently, the construction of the new Sakonnet River Bridge. Steve was the beloved husband of Brenda (Mello), father of Stephanie Quintin, and stepfather of Douglas Yousif. He is also survived by his mother, Doris (Rene) Medici, his brother, Douglas Quintin, and also by his former wife, Bonnie Berretto. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Friday, April 15 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be Thursday, April 14 from 4:00-8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Bristol Rescue Squad, P.O.
