Mr Sebastian Dias

Sebastian 'Sabby' Dias, Jr., age 82, of Bristol, died Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at the home of his daughter, surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Angelina 'Angie' (Carlone) Dias his wife of 57 years. Born in Bristol, RI and a lifelong resident, he was a son of the late Sebastian and Mary (Piedade) Dias. Sabby was a supervisor, foreman for GH Dahl Corporation in Bristol for many years. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth's Church. Sabby served in the U.S. Army and the RI National Guard for 42 years, he was a member of the Bristol Train of Artillery, Cup Defenders Association, 21 Mens Club, Guards of Thunder. In addition his wife, he is survived by a son Alan R. Dias of Bristol, three daughters, Luann Dias of Riverside, Donna Marie Bouchard and Elaine Ward both of Bristol, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, two sisters, Rose Selley of Bristol and Linda Richer of Coventry. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Domenic, William and Freeman Dias and two sisters, Mary and Helen Dias . Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Monday, December 30, 2013 at 8:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM in St. Elizabeth's Church, 577 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial with Military Honors will follow in North Burial Ground, Hope Street, Bristol. Visiting hours Sunday, December 29, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
