Mr. Russell A. Bruno, age 62 of Harris Avenue, Cranston, died Monday, November 18, 2013 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Alicia (Quintos) Bruno his wife of 20 years. Born in Providence and raised in Bristol, he was a son of the late Paul C. and Anna (DeCaporale) Bruno. He was a resident of Cranston for 20 years. He was a graduate of Bristol High School, Class of 1969 and had attended both Roger Williams College in Bristol and Slippery Rock State College in Slippery Rock, PA. Russell worked in Food Service his entire career starting with the owner and manager of Riccotti's Sandwich Shop in Barrington for 19 years and then opened La Bella Mana Restaurant on Maple Avenue in Barrington for three years. He then worked at various area Taco Bell Restaurants and Dunkin Donuts, Managing the Empire Street, Providence branch when he retired in 2010. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol. He is survived in addition to his wife by a brother, Paul J. Bruno and his wife Donna L. of Wilmington, VT. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Monday, November 25, 2013 at 10:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. A visitation will be held Monday morning only from 9:00-10:00 AM.
