Mr. Ronald R. Martino, age 61, of 719 Hope Street, Bristol, died Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Fall River, MA and a lifelong resident of Bristol, he was a son of the late Andrew S. and Matilda D. (St. Vincent) Martino. He was a graduate of Bristol High School, Class of 1967 where he was an All State Football Linebacker for the Bristol Colt's and was inducted into the Bristol Athletic Hall of Fame in 1996. He served in the RI National Guard for six years during the Vietnam War Era. He worked in the mechanical maintenance department of Roger Williams University, Bristol for over 15 years retiring this past December due to illness. He was a communicant of OurLady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol. He was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriot Fan and a former member of the Cup Defenders Association in Bristol. He is survived by a daughter, Jessica M. Martino, his twin brother, Stephen R. Martino, a nephew, Stephen V. Martino, all of Bristol, two nieces, Tammi Bouchard of Warren and Andrea Leonard of Bristol, four great nephews, Sean and Timothy Boughton, Jared Butler and Jacob Pacheco and a great great nephew, Blake Boughton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Andrew J. 'Butch'Martino. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Monday, July 11, 2011 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol.
