Mr. Richard Davis Perkins, age 77, of Ambrose Drive, Bristol, died Monday, March 2, 2015 at home with his family by his side. Born in Providence, RI and a lifelong resident of Bristol, he was a son of the late Sidney D. and Dorothy C. (Anderson) Perkins. Richard worked for the US Postal Service for many years as a Mail Carrier both in Bristol and retiring in 2007 from the Providence Post Office. Richard served in the US Navy during the Vietnam Era and was a member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church, Bristol. He is survived by his children, Debra Waddell and her husband Bryon of Bristol, Sheryl Sinclair of Warren, John Sinclair and his wife Donna of Swansea, MA, and Allen Sinclair of Jacksonville, FL., his grandchildren, Kristen Contente, Allen Sinclair, Jr., Amanda Cogdell, Aden and Ave Waddell, his great grandchildren, Alaina and Levi Steven Contente, Gavin, Connor and Abby Sinclair. He is also survived by his brothers, Bruce Perkins of Ellington, CT and Roland Perkins of Agawam, MA. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 9:00 AM with a Requiem Eucharist Service at 10:00 AM in St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 399 Hope Street, Bristol. Burial with military honors will follow in North Burial Ground, Hope Street, Bristol. Visiting hours Monday, March 9, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
