Mr. Nicholas J. Marshall, Jr., age 89 of 1014 Hope Street, Bristol, died Sunday, December 5, 2010 at home with his wife by his side, He was the husband of Delina L. (Forni) Marshall his wife of 68 years. Born in Providence, RI, and a Bristol resident for 21 years moving from East Providence, a son of the late Nicholas J. and Mary Messier (Boudreau) Marshall. Nicholas worked for Pepperidge Farm Co. in Norwalk, CT and was a Consultant for Quality Bakers of America in Greenwich, CT before retiring He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Bristol. He was a WW II US Army Veteran. Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Nicholas J. Marshall, III and his wife Carole A. of Thompson, CT and Guy W. Marshall and his wife Frances of North Smithfield, a daughter, Patricia A. Taunton of Sumterville, FL. A brother Francis Marshall and his wife Josephine of Vera, FL. Eleven Grandchildren and Ten Great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Doris Cloutier. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, December 9th at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 141 State St., Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Ashway Foundation 273 Main Street, Oxford, MA 01546 in memory of Mr. Marshall's great granddaughter Ashley.
