Mr Nicholas S. Mancieri

Nicholas S. Mancieri, age 92, of Harker Avenue, Bristol, died Friday, March 21, 2014 at the Phillip Hulitar Inpatient Care Center, Providence, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Mary Theresa (Alves) Mancieri. Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident he was a son of the late Saverio and Margherita (Marabello) Mancieri. Mr. Mancieri worked for the State of Rhode Island as a Health Inspector for many years before retiring in 1983. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, Bristol. He loved clamming, mushrooming and family party's on the 4th of July in Bristol. Nicholas is survived by his three sons, Saverio P. Mancieri of Livermore, CA, William Mancieri and Nicholas J. Mancieri, both of Bristol. Six grandchildren, Nicole Laprocina, Christopher, Derek, Jackson, Ariana and Nicholas Mancieri, two great grandchildren, Gabriela Mancieri and Thomas Teixeira. Also survived by a brother, Saverio Mancieri of Bristol and a sister Carmella Mello of Bristol. Besides his wife and parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary T. Laprocina, brother and sisters, Bonaventura, Frank, Cosmo, Alice, Mary Alice, Caroline Mancieri, Antoinetta Diodati. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Mary's Church, 330 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial with military honors will follow in North Burial Ground, Hope St., Bristol Visiting hours Tuesday from 4:00-7:00 PM.
