Mr. Nicholas T. Baker, age 21, of 172 High Street, Bristol, died Monday, April 23, 2007 at his home. Born in Boston, MA and a lifelong resident of Bristol, he was the son of Timothy W. Baker of Westford, MA and Elizabeth P. (Peloquin) Baker of Bristol. Nicholas was an E.M.T. for the Alert Ambulance Company for the past year. He was currently enrolled in a Paramedic Program. He was a graduate of Mt. Hope High School, Class of 2004. He was a volunteer with the Bristol Fire Department a member of the Dreadnaught Hook, Ladder and Hose Co. No. 1 and the Bristol Rescue Squad. An Eagle Scout, he was a member of Troop 2 Bristol, he had a great love of the outdoors and a respect for our environment. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and a member of the Bristol Train of Artillery. In addition to his father and mother, he is survived by a step mother, Tamera L. Baker of Westford, MA, his paternal grandfather, William J. Baker of New Bern, NC, his maternal grandparents, Arthur A. and Angela B. (Bruno) Peloquin, both of Bristol, two sisters, several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Joyce E. (Bevans) Baker. Funeral Services for Mr. Nicholas T. Baker were held on Friday, April 27, 2007 with a Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. The Rev. Dean P. Perri was the Principal Celebrant-Homilist, The Rev. Barry J. Gamache was the Concelebrant, David E. Barboza was the Reader and Offertory Gifts were presented by Ed and Elaine Sheehan, Kevin Valentine was the Organist-Soloist for the Mass. Burial followed in North Burial Ground, Hope Street, Bristol, where Father Perri read the Committal Prayers. The following served as pallbearers; Gerry M. Furtado, Barry S. Carinha, Nathan G. Webster, Russell S. Serpa, Kyle F. Boyd, Chris H. Cox, Justin P. Teixeira, Thomas J. Camara and Jason S. Caetano. A Bristol Rescue Vehicle carried Nicks Casket and the Bristol Police Department Patrol Cars escorted the funeral processions. Arrangements were entrusted to the Sansone Funeral Home, Bristol.
