Mr Michael V. Urban

Mr. Michael V. Urban, age 35 of 69 Sowams Drive, Bristol, died Friday, March 23, 2012 at Fatima Hospital, North Providence, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Fall River, MA and a lifelong Bristol resident, he was a son of Vincent F. and Suzanne B. (Deschenes) Urban of Bristol. Michael was a graduate of Mt. Hope High School, Class of 1994 where he played Baseball for a couple of years and had attended Community College of RI. He was a cooks assistant at the RI Veterans Home in Bristol for two years, and had previously worked in the maintenance department of East Bay C.D.C. in Bristol for 5 years and also for the maintenance contractor who serviced the RI Veterans Home for a number of years. He was an avid New England SportsFan and during his youth years played baseball for the King Philips Little League, played soccer for the Bristol Youth Soccer Association and basketball with Our Lady of Mt. Carmel C.Y.O. team. He was an avid bowler and was a former member of the Dudek Jr. Bowling League. In everything he did in life was with hard work and a great pride in what he accomplished. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Jennifer M. McSparran and her husband Michael of San Diego, CA, his maternal grandmother, Rose A. Deschenes of Fall River, MA, several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins and also survived by his step-children, Amanda and Joshua Haywood, of Barrington. He was preceded in death by a brother, Vincent F. Urban, Jr., his maternal grandfather, Louis Deschenes, his paternal grandparents, Norman and Angelina (Phillips) Urban. Funeral Services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 10:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Jean Baptiste Mission Church, 324 Main Street, Warren. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Vernon St., Warren. Visitation Tuesday morning only from 9:00-10:00 AM.
