Mr Michael D. Prezioso

January 18, 1925 — January 31, 2016

Michael “Mickey” Domenic Prezioso, age 91 of Kingswood Rd, Bristol, died on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at Silver Creek Manor in Bristol surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband for 66 years of Irene (Andrade) Prezioso. Born in Bristol, RI, he was a lifelong Bristolian. He was the son of the late Felix and Madeline (Cappucci) Prezioso. Michael attended Bristol schools and began work at a very young age to help support his family. In his own words, “I did it all”. He was a history of the many jobs Bristol once had- delivering bread before school; setting up and ducking pins at the High Street alleys; making dough for Leos Pizzeria and Carulli & Principes Wood St macaroni factory; moving materials at Collins-Akman; and after 30 years, retiring as a Quality Control Inspector for G. W. Dahl Co. He was always busy helping others doing odd jobs including landscaping with the late Peter Jannitto and handy man at St. Marys of the Bay Warren. He proudly served in the US Regular Army during WWII and was assigned to the 8th Army Stockade in Japan. Michael was charming, kind and comical, loved by his family and friends. He was a devote catholic and liked all things Italian. He enjoyed the good times playing golf, cards, cooking, gardening, dining out, visiting and talking about old Bristol. He was happiest when dancing with his beautiful wife in his arms, and later years, watching the swans and sailboats, with a coffee by the harbor. He was a member of the Bristol Elks and Cup Defenders Association. He leaves a daughter Joyce (Ron) Borges of Scottsdale, AZ; and sons Michael (Donna) of Mission Viejo, CA and Thomas (Maria) of Bristol; grandson Ryan (Krista) Borges and great-grandson Alan of Scottsdale, AZ. He was brother to Gabriel “Chubby” Prezioso, Warren, RI; and Dora (Ben) Hinken, Bristol, RI. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and god-children. He was predeceased by his parents and sister Mary (Malcom) Wilcox.
