Mr. Michael J. Mercurio

Michael J. Mercurio age 31, of Everett Street, Bristol and Owner of M-Squared Salon in Providence, died Thursday, June 24, 2010 at the Rhode Island Hospital surrounded by his loving family after a short illness. Born in Providence, RI a loving son of Bal A. and Maria S. (Tavares) Mercurio of Barrington. Michael owned and operated M-Squared Salon on Atwells Ave, Providence. Michael graduated from Mt. Hope High School, and he was a communicant of St. Elizabeths Church, both in Bristol. Besides his loving parents, he will be sadly missed by his beloved sister, Tara M. Mercurio, of Barrington and his maternal grandfather, Joseph P. Tavares of Bristol. He was the nephew of Marie Fratantuono, Joseph Tavares, Nancy Tavares, EJ and Isabel Sousa, Paula and Michael Verrecchia, Walter Tavares, Richard Mercurio, Doris and Kevin Hayes. Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, Maria P. Tavares, Balillo and Margaret Mercurio and his aunt, Christina L. Mercurio. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Monday, June 28, 2010 at 10:00 AM in the Cathedral of SS Peter & Paul Church, Cathedral Square, Providence. Burial will be private and visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
