Mr. Michael Borgia

Mr. Michael Borgia, age 49 of Basswood Drive, Bristol, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Fatima Hospital, North Providence. Born in Providence and a lifelong resident of Bristol, he was the son of the late Frank A. and Alice M. (Silva) Borgia. A graduate of Bristol High School, Class of 1986 and he was a Foreman for the Iron Workers Union, Local#37 for 21 years and had previously worked for Carl Benevides Construction. A biologist by heart, Mike was a nature lover, spending time gardening, fishing, helping his daughter Bethany with her 4-H projects with animals or just spending quiet time reading. Michael had an infectious smile and always had a sincere interest in others. He is survived by three daughters; Jillian N., Olivia A. and Bethany K. Borgia, all at home in Bristol, two brothers, Andrew P. Borgia, Key West, FL, and Steven Borgia (Lisa) of Warren, a niece, Jenna E. Borgia and his longtime companion, Jennifer Masse Devine and her children, Allyson and Aidan, of Bristol. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of his life, Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in the Franklin Court Community Room, 150 Franklin Street, Bristol (entrance at Wood Street, under arch.
