Mr. Luis G. DaSilva, age 75 of Union Street, Bristol, died Monday, April 28, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband Maria C. (Moitoso) DaSilva his wife of 53 years. Born in the Azores, he was a son of the late Rogerio and Maria C. (Cortazon) DaSilva. Luis worked as a painter of Raymond Construction and A.J. Nunes Construction in Bristol. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth's Church, Bristol. He loved shell fishing. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Tattrie and her husband William of Bristol and a son, Louis DaSilva of Bristol, four grandchildren Krystle DaSilva, Megan, Colin and Nathan Tattrie, three brothers, John DaSilva, Fernando DaSilva and Roger DaSilva all of Lowell, MA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ludgero DaSilva. Funeral Services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 10:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Elizabeth's Church, 577 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours Wednesday, April 30, 2014 from 4:00-7:00 PM.
