Mr Louis F. Sansone

August 5, 1938 — June 24, 2023

Mr. Louis F. Sansone, age 84 of Hope Street, Bristol, passed away, Saturday, June 24, 2023 surrounded by his loving wife Emily and family. He was the husband of Emily M. (Simmons) Sansone, his wife (and high school sweetheart) of 65 years. Born in and a lifelong resident of Bristol, he was the son of the late Carmine A. and Josephine A. "Anna" (Squatrito) Sansone. Louie was a Barber for over 50 years, retiring in 2020. A graduate of Colt Memorial High School, Class of 1956, he continued his education at the Barbering School in Boston, MA where he received his professional diploma. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol, and a member of the LaBella Sicilia Society in Bristol. Louie was an inducted member of the Bristol Athletic Hall of Fame, and his love of sports never ended. You could often find him watching sports in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family. In addition, he was an avid card player and looked forward to playing poker with his close friends each week. If he wasnt playing cards youd find him in the supermarkets. To say that he was adored by his family would be an understatement. Louie was the type of husband and father who enjoyed the simple pleasures in life and was known to be the most generous and loving father and grandfather around. Nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren at weekly Sunday dinners and family get togethers around the pool. He was proud of his family and beamed with joy when his children, grandchildren and two little great grandchildren, Braxton and Tanner came over to visit. The laughter and joy in his face was contagious, and it was inspiring to watch him enjoy life so much simply because he had built his most precious possession, his family. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Ann J. Mello (Joseph), Karen Ferreira (Christopher), Cynthia M. Almeida (Jay), and Tanya M. Proulx (Michael) all of Bristol, four grandchildren, Louis Ferreira (Mallory), Christopher Ferreira, Kyle and Danielle Mello, two great grandchildren, Braxton and Tanner Ferreira and his sister, Philomena A. Bisbano and nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
